How to Enrol with Gungahlin Gymnastics
Refer to the applicable class page for more information on how our classes are structured and which class to choose for your child. The timetable is located with each class description.
Please note, most classes on our timetable are full or near capacity. Please email to enquire about our current vacancies and to be added to our waiting lists. It is in your best interest to inquire early and to get on the waiting list as early as possible as all vacancies are offered to those on the waiting list in the order in which enquiries are received.
Please ensure that when you request to be added to the waiting list you provide your child's name, date of birth and all days you would be available to attend class or this will delay you being added to the waiting list. Please also ensure you utilise an email address that you can access and check at all times as most offers for class places are made during holiday periods and have an expiry date for you to respond to secure your place.
We do have an exceptionally high retention rate in our classes so limited places are available during term and at the end of each term. The majority of vacancies are available as the new year commences so it is recommended you get on the waiting list as quickly as possible. Our vacancies and availability changes on an hourly basis during our offers period and it is impossible for us to estimate how long you might have to wait for a vacancy. Offers for Term 1, 2020 will commence from Monday 13 January.
Waiting List Conditions
*All requests to be added to our waiting list must be in writing via email. We do not accept verbal requests to be added to the waiting list. Please note, siblings of current members must go on the waiting list for a place, no preference is given to siblings for earlier access to classes.
*Please provide your child's name, date of birth and your preferred days to attend when requesting to go on the waiting list. We cannot process your waiting list request without this information and the longer it takes us to obtain this information, the longer the waitlist grows.
*We are happy for people to stay on the waiting list for an additional term if they can't accept a place when first offered however after the second offer of a place that is declined, you will be removed from the waiting list and will have to enquire again in future.
*All offers for places are done via email and have a closing date. If we do not hear from you by the closing date, you will be removed from the waiting list.
*Our waiting lists carry over term to term and year to year so you remain on the waiting list until we can offer you a place.
*If your availability changes or your contact email changes, please let us know so we can be update our records.
For Kindergym classes (Tiny Tumblers and Junior Tumblers), we offer a two class trial for $45 so your child can try two classes with us before you commit to the balance of the term fees and the yearly registration and insurance fee. Your child is required to commence their trial classes within two weeks of us confirming your place or your place will be offered to the next person on the waiting list. Please don't commit to a trial if you don't believe you can commit to the rest of the term if your child enjoys the class.
Depending on vacancies and if you have previously registered for our waiting list, we will contact you as soon as a place becomes available. On some occasions, we are able to offer a place straight away if a vacancy exists. Once you have received our offer, you must confirm in writing by the due date your acceptance of the place. Upon confirming your child's enrolment with us, we will provide our club handbook, fee policy and codes of conduct to you. Acceptance of these policies and guidelines is a condition of enrolment with Gungahlin Gymnastics. Please read them! You will also be provided with information on how to complete our online registration form and how to setup your customer portal account and your deposit of $45.00 that secures your place will be invoiced to you.
No gymnasts (children, teens or adults) are permitted to participate in any classes unless a deposit or session fee (for adult gym) has been paid. There are no exceptions to this rule. We do not offer make up lessons. Your child's class goes ahead and their coach is paid even if your child is not there and we do not have space in other classes to allow make up lessons.
We are a small family business and we appreciate that all families can face financial hardship at times. In these cases, we are more than happy for families to apply for a payment plan for fees to enable their children to continue participating. All requests for payment plans must be made in writing with terms and conditions agreed upon with Management before the fees are due. It is one of our missions to enable participation in gymnastics regardless of a person's financial position and we have many families who have agreed payment plans in place to enable their children to do gymnastics with us.
