Kindergym & Pre-School Gymnastics

We have gymnastics classes specifically tailored to the budding gymnast within our Kindergym (18 months - 5 years) and Junior Springers pre-school (4 - 5 years) programs. With gymnastics the nursery of all sport and movement, starting your child in gymnastics in their early childhood helps to set them up as confident movers and for being healthy and active their whole life.

Kindergym is a gymnastics based movement program for children under 5 years and their caregiver. In Kindergym you are on the floor with your child and work with your child through a series of stations that are designed to develop the whole child; socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically, in a safe, structured and multi-sensory environment. Kindergym is a well known and recognised program that is a great introduction to gymnastics, the sport that serves the body for life. Each caregiver can attend with up to two children enrolled per class. Children need to be mobile and up and walking to join our Kindergym program. Non mobile siblings can attend with you however must remain in a carrier or pram for safety.

Our Junior Springers program is aimed at children 4 - 5 years of age who are enrolled in pre-school (must be commencing Kindergarten the following year). Junior Springers is our transition program with parents not coming on the floor during class and where we introduce more skill based learning on each apparatus. Our classes are kept very small for this program to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment for our pre-schoolers. Ideally children would complete one to two terms of Junior Tumblers Kindergym before joining this class however confident children who are happy to be on the floor without a parent, are well behaved and who can follow directions and instructions are welcome to join.

All classes within our Kindergym and Junior Springers programs have a compulsory $60.00 registration and insurance fee that is in addition to the term fees for each child. This fee is payable once per calendar year by all participants and is charged to new gymnasts after their two class trial. This fee is non-refundable regardless of how many terms are completed and non-transferable to another person. No family discounts are applied to this fee. The yearly registraton and insurance fee is scaled down across the year depending on the term that you join (Term 2 - $42.00, Term 3 - $28.00, Term 4 - $14.00).

Tiny Tumblers - 18 months to approximately 3 years
Our Tiny Tumblers are our smallest gymnasts but often we have the biggest laughs in this class. Children can join our Tiny Tumblers at 18 months of age and must be up and walking independently to participate. We don't accept enrolment for children younger than 18 months however we are happy to pop you on the waiting list for when your toddler reachers 18 months. We climb, swing, balance, hang, jump and play in Tiny Tumblers with the aim to start developing our gross and fine motor skills, coordination and senses. Siblings who are older than the suggested age bracket (but under 5 years) can attend with their younger sibling in this class but must be allocated a place and have paid all relevant fees.

Junior Tumblers - approximately 3 years to 5 years
Our Junior Tumblers are full of energy and ready to learn by showing their fierce independence. Children within our Junior Tumblers are aged in the 3 - 5 year bracket and still need Mum or Dad or a carer on the floor with them. We encourage that wonderful toddler independence in this class as they learn to navigate all the obstables we have in the gym by jumping, swinging, running, balancing, climbing and leaping through our circuits. This program further develops their gross and fine motor control, develops their fundamental movement patterns and teaches them how a class is structured, taking turns and listening to the coach. Siblings who are younger than the suggested age bracket (but older than 1 year) can attend with their older sibling in this class but must be allocated a place and have paid all relevant fees.

Junior Springers - Pre-school Children - 4 - 5 years of age
Junior Springers is our young gymnasts first venture onto the gym floor without a parent or carer and therefore, children entering this program must be confident and willing to get involved. This program is exclusively for children who are in pre-school and who will be commencing full time Kindergarten in Primary School next year. Children who are reserved and shy in new environments are better suited to spending a term or two in our Kindergym program before commencing in Junior Springers to ensure gymnastics remains a positive experience. Our ratio of coach / gymnast in this program is kept small to enable a more personalised approach however we do require that all gymnasts entering this program demonstrate good listening skills as they are taught to execute a circuit of activities with direction from the coach. Our Junior Springers program is very popular with over 20 classes on our timetable across the week. Given the popularity of this program, we recommend you be flexible with your available days to increase your chances of getting a place.
